February 2017<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Project partners:\u00a0Centre for European Security Studies (Netherlands), Centre for Democratic and Participatory Governance (Belgium)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>General objective:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Enhance the skills and knowledge of Moldovan MPs and\u00a0staffers on the subject of post-legislative scrutiny and to provide recommendations for\u00a0institutionalising a tailor-made post-legislative scrutiny procedure for Moldova<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Specific objectives:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Raise awareness with Members of Parliament and parliamentary staff on the oversight\u00a0role of the Parliament of Moldova in post-legislative scrutiny, including by discussing best practices from a number of other jurisdictions which are relevant to Moldova;<\/li>\n<li>Build consensus on the usefulness and added value of the role of the Parliament of\u00a0Moldova in the area of post-legislative scrutiny, including by discussing what the\u00a0Parliament of Moldova wants to achieve through post-legislative scrutiny;<\/li>\n<li>Provide guidance on the scope and working approach of a pilot project on postlegislative\u00a0scrutiny in Moldova;<\/li>\n<li>Implement a pilot project on post-legislative scrutiny for a limited number of pieces of\u00a0legislation;<\/li>\n<li>Identify lessons learned on methodology, resources and parliamentary procedures\u00a0required for effective post-legislative scrutiny;<\/li>\n<li>Develop and introduce policy recommendations for Parliament and Government to\u00a0enhance post-legislative scrutiny.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project was implemented with the financial support of the\u00a0Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ipp.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Logo_MFA_Olanda.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1416 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/ipp.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Logo_MFA_Olanda-300x104.png\" alt=\"Logo_MFA_Olanda\" width=\"300\" height=\"104\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ipp.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Logo_MFA_Olanda-300x104.png 300w, https:\/\/ipp.md\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Logo_MFA_Olanda-1024x355.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Implementation period: October 2015 &#8211;
