Our country has put considerable efforts to achieve the targets of MDG 2 \u201cEnsure universal access\u00a0to general compulsory education\u201d which imply increase of the rate of enrolment in general compulsory\u00a0education, rise of the rate of enrolment in preschool education and attenuation of discrepancies\u00a0between rural and urban areas, between the disadvantaged groups and the ones with an average income,\u00a0maintaining the literacy rates. Nevertheless, despite all efforts, the developments of the situation\u00a0in primary and gymnasium education are rather modest, differently from preschool education,\u00a0where significant progress was done.
\nThe survey\u2019s goal consists in making an analysis of the contribution of civil society organizations and\u00a0of private sector to achieving the targets of MDG 2 in the Republic of Moldova, identification of the\u00a0constraints faced by non-governmental organizations and private companies while conducting relevant\u00a0for MDG 2 activities and making recommendations for improving and expanding the collaboration\u00a0among public authorities, associative sector and private sector in terms of ensuring universal\u00a0access to preschool and general compulsory education.
\nThe survey\u2019s methodology included the analysis of reports developed by public authorities, development\u00a0partners, civil society organizations and private companies and in-depths interviews with\u00a0representatives of such institutions. The process of drafting the survey was tracked by a cluster group\u00a0consisting of representatives of central government, development partners, international organizations,\u00a0civil society organizations, business entities and independent consultants.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
